Gless Hoose Collective is a group of people in Muirhouse who either work or live in the area. The group has been brought together to work with me in producing an interactive light installation for the new health centre which opens early next year. Also part of this team is designer Mark Kobine, who also collaborated on the Roost Project in Muirhouse last year.
The installation will be sited in the main Atrium entrance in the health centre. The space is high ceilinged with two storey height. The large cluster of lights will be made of hand blown glass with varying shapes and colours as decided in the design workshops. Each glass piece will have LED lights which are interactive, responding in light to movement.
This website has been set up to document this process from the points of view of all involved.
